At Hawcx, we are revolutionizing how over 6 billion internet users log in by making authentication effortless, secure, and truly passwordless—with just five lines of code. We eliminate the need for passwords, device lock-ins, backup codes, and reliance on big tech ecosystems.

Our mission is to empower startups and global enterprises alike to deliver the fastest, safest, and simplest authentication experience ever built. Our vision: keep every internet user safe without sacrificing usability, aiming for zero friction, zero compromise, and zero passwords.

Role Description

We are seeking a Full-Stack Engineer to join our team in Austin, TX (on-site, full-time). You will play a critical role in building, scaling, and maintaining our authentication platform end-to-end.

In this role, you’ll:

  • Build user-facing features with modern frameworks and intuitive, responsive UI/UX.

  • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code across the stack.

  • Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

  • Contribute to architectural decisions that shape the future of passwordless authentication.

  • Continuously improve system performance, reliability, and developer experience.

Qualifications

We’re looking for engineers who thrive in fast-paced environments and are excited to work on cutting-edge authentication technology.

Required:
  • Strong experience in front-end development (e.g., React, Vue, or similar) with deep knowledge of CSS and responsive design.

  • Proficiency in back-end development (e.g., Node.js, Python, Go, or similar).

  • Proven experience working across the stack (full-stack development).

  • Familiarity with databases (SQL and/or NoSQL) and API design.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field—or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to Have:
  • Experience building authentication, identity, or security systems.

  • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

  • Prior experience in a startup or high-growth environment.

  • Contributions to open-source projects.

Why Join Hawcx?
  • Be part of a mission-driven team reshaping the future of online security.

  • Work with cutting-edge technologies in an environment that values innovation.

  • Competitive compensation, benefits, and opportunities for growth.
